A 31-year-old former neighbor was arraigned this morning on charges that he raped and killed Lindsay Anne Graygo in her apartment in February.

Derrick Oliver was charged with open murder, first-degree criminal sexual conduct and larceny in the death of the 29-year-old native of Erie, Penn.

Police said Saturday that Oliver was arrested the night before after his DNA matched evidence at the scene of Graygo’s apartment.

Oliver is being held without bond at the Washtenaw County

Jail and has a preliminary hearing July 2.

Graygo’s body was discovered Feb. 19 after a concerned

co-worker called police to say she had not arrived at work that day.

An autopsy showed she had been beaten, strangled and likely sexually assaulted.

Oliver moved out of the building not long after Graygo’s death and was living in Ann Arbor, police said. He was arrested in Detroit where he was visiting someone.

A man who told an emergency services operator that he killed his girlfriend and cooked parts of her body is facing a murder charge, authorities said.

Deputies responding to the 911 call in Tyler, Texas found a gruesome scene: a human ear boiling in a pot on a stovetop and a hunk of flesh on a fork sitting atop a plate on the kitchen table.

Authorities believe that the 25-year-old man arrested in the death of his 21-year-old girlfriend cooked parts of her body and may have tried to eat them - actions they said he described to them in the telephone call that led them to the grisly discovery.

Christopher Lee McCuin, 25, was scheduled to be arraigned on Monday on a capital murder charge. He was in solitary confinement at a jail on a $2 million (¤1.36 million) bond Sunday night and did not have an attorney, officials said.
